Depart for Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri: Akbar’s magnificent 16th-century capital, now a ghost city, reveals a blend of Persian, Hindu, and Mughal architecture. Its Buland Darwaza is one of the tallest gateways in the world, and the city’s palaces and mosques are steeped in tales of royal strategy and courtly intrigue. Legend says a Sufi saint’s blessing inspired Akbar to build this city.

The day begins early with a collection from the Delhi hotel by our representative, ensuring a seamless transfer to the New Delhi Railway Station. Guests board the morning Shatabdi Express for a comfortable, high-speed journey to Kalka, enjoying a packed breakfast and complimentary hot meal served onboard.
In Kalka, the atmosphere shifts: guests are met and transferred to the awaiting "Toy Train" . This historic, narrow-gauge line—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—is a destination in itself. Guests relax and absorb the old-world charm as the train traverses 103 tunnels and over 800 bridges, climbing through lofty pine forests and misty, magnificent hills for nearly five hours. Main luggage is transferred separately by road to ensure maximum comfort on this charming, historic carriage.
Upon arrival in Shimla, the former British summer capital, guests are welcomed by the crisp mountain air and transferred to their hotel. The remainder of the evening is reserved for rest or a gentle exploration of the elegant surroundings.

Following breakfast, guests embark on a guided Heritage Walk of Shimla, beginning on the bustling promenade of The Mall. The morning is dedicated to admiring the elegant colonial architecture, with the guide sharing illuminating narratives from the British Raj era.
The centrepiece is the Viceregal Lodge (Rashtrapati Niwas), a majestic Jacobethan-style edifice completed in 1888 that served as the residence for the British Viceroy. We then pause for luncheon at one of the distinguished restaurants along The Mall Road.
The afternoon takes us to Jakhu Temple Hill (2,455m), the highest point in Shimla. Guests ascend via cable car, rewarded with panoramic views encompassing the entire city and the distant, snow-capped Himalayan peaks. The historical and cultural exploration continues with a visit to the Gaiety Theatre, a gem of Victorian design that was once the social heart of the British elite. The day concludes with a leisurely stroll along The Mall Road, past landmarks like Christ Church and Scandal Point.

The day offers a beautiful excursion into the surrounding hill stations. Following breakfast, we travel to Kufri, a scenic hamlet whose name derives from the local word for 'lake.' Kufri is renowned for its tranquil atmosphere and the opportunity to visit the Himalayan Wildlife Zoo, home to rare felines, antelopes, and the vibrant Himalayan Monal.
We proceed to Fagu, a picturesque and secluded retreat often favoured by nature lovers and honeymooners. Here, guests are treated to stunning views of apple orchards and terraced fields set against the towering Himalayan skyline. Tea or coffee is served at a scenic viewpoint, providing a perfect moment of reflection amidst the natural splendour, before returning to Shimla.
