Our pilgrimage begins at Raj Ghat, the serene memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, where an eternal flame honours the quiet courage of the nation's father. We then drive past the imposing red sandstone walls of the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the enduring symbol of Mughal power.

The journey accelerates into the historical heart of India with a thrilling cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk. Here, the narrow lanes pulse with life, saturated with the scent of cardamom and silk, where centuries-old culinary and trade traditions continue unabated. Guests will experience the modern face of the country with a short Delhi Metro passage, bridging the gap between historical charm and contemporary dynamism.

After a delightful local luncheon, the afternoon uncovers the awe-inspiring Qutub Minar. This soaring 12th-century victory tower stands at 72.5 metres, its intricate Quranic inscriptions chronicling the architectural ingenuity of early Muslim rule. We then drive past the monumental Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidential Palace) and the solemn India Gate war memorial. About Agra: Welcome to Agra, a true jewel of the Mughal epoch. Flourishing as the capital in the 16th century, Agra remains the privileged custodian of three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, testament to a golden age of architectural artistry.

Sightseeing: Our exploration begins at the formidable Agra Fort, a powerful red sandstone citadel. While Emperor Akbar built it for military might, it was Shah Jahan who embellished it with palaces and halls of exquisite beauty. The legendary tale of Shah Jahan gazing upon the Taj Mahal from his imprisonment here adds a poignant layer of history. We then discover the exquisite Itimad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb, affectionately known as the “Baby Taj,” famed for its delicate pietra dura inlay, predating its more famous counterpart.

The afternoon culminates with a visit to the Taj Mahal , ideally timed for sunset. Built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved Mumtaz Mahal, its perfect symmetry and ethereal marble transcend architecture, remaining a sublime vision of eternal love.

Today, we embark on a journey steeped in history as we depart for Jaipur (Drive: approx. 5–6 hours).

Our first profound stop is Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar’s magnificent 16th-century capital, now preserved as a mesmerizing ghost city. This site is an architectural symphony, blending Persian, Hindu, and Mughal styles. Guests will marvel at the colossal Buland Darwaza, one of the world's tallest gateways, and witness palaces steeped in tales of royal strategy.

A gourmet stop for lunch is planned in Bharatpur or at Laxmi Vilas Palace, where guests will enjoy a fine meal infused with authentic Rajasthani flavours. We then continue our passage to Jaipur.

The day begins early with a collection from the Delhi hotel by our representative, ensuring a seamless transfer to the New Delhi Railway Station. Guests board the morning Shatabdi Express for a comfortable, high-speed journey to Kalka, enjoying a packed breakfast and complimentary hot meal served onboard.

In Kalka, the atmosphere shifts: guests are met and transferred to the awaiting "Toy Train" . This historic, narrow-gauge line—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—is a destination in itself. Guests relax and absorb the old-world charm as the train traverses 103 tunnels and over 800 bridges, climbing through lofty pine forests and misty, magnificent hills for nearly five hours. Main luggage is transferred separately by road to ensure maximum comfort on this charming, historic carriage.

Upon arrival in Shimla, the former British summer capital, guests are welcomed by the crisp mountain air and transferred to their hotel. The remainder of the evening is reserved for rest or a gentle exploration of the elegant surroundings.

The centrepiece is the Viceregal Lodge (Rashtrapati Niwas), a majestic Jacobethan-style edifice completed in 1888 that served as the residence for the British Viceroy. We then pause for luncheon at one of the distinguished restaurants along The Mall Road.

The afternoon takes us to Jakhu Temple Hill (2,455m), the highest point in Shimla. Guests ascend via cable car, rewarded with panoramic views encompassing the entire city and the distant, snow-capped Himalayan peaks. The historical and cultural exploration continues with a visit to the Gaiety Theatre, a gem of Victorian design that was once the social heart of the British elite. The day concludes with a leisurely stroll along The Mall Road, past landmarks like Christ Church and Scandal Point.

Kufri is renowned for its tranquil atmosphere and the opportunity to visit the Himalayan Wildlife Zoo, home to rare felines, antelopes, and the vibrant Himalayan Monal.

We proceed to Fagu, a picturesque and secluded retreat often favoured by nature lovers and honeymooners. Here, guests are treated to stunning views of apple orchards and terraced fields set against the towering Himalayan skyline. Tea or coffee is served at a scenic viewpoint, providing a perfect moment of reflection amidst the natural splendour, before returning to Shimla.

Upon arrival at Delhi Railway Station, our representative provides a final seamless transfer to the airport for the onward international flight.
